Men's Golf Inks Local Product During Early Signing Period

Dec. 13, 2007

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's golf head coach Tom Wronowski announced earlier today the signing of Justin Deitz after receiving a National Letter of Intent during the NCAA's early signing period. The nearby Clifton Park, N.Y. native will enroll at Siena College next fall.

Deitz recently completed a stellar high school playing career at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park. Deitz was a medalist of the Section 2 NYS High School Golf Championships at Orchard Creek after shooting a 6 under par score of 136. Deitz will now move on to compete in the NYS High School Championships in June which will be held at Cornell University.

"Justin has competed against the best junior players in the country and with another year of experience I expect him to immediately play an integral role for us his freshman year," remarked Wronowski.

In addition, Deitz also qualified for and competed in the prestigious U.S. Junior Amateur Championships in Augusta, Mo. earlier this year.
