Bryan Bigley Selected to GCAA Ping Division I All-Region Team
June 27, 2007 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - For the second year in a row, former Siena standout Bryan Bigley `07 (Rotterdam, N.Y./Schalmont) has been selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America Ping Division I All-Region Mid-Atlantic Team. Last season, Bigley led the Saints to a 26th place showing in their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in Sugar Grove, Ill. Additionally, Bigley completed the 2006-07 season with a scoring average of 72.4. He also finished in the top-five individually in each of the Saints' four scheduled spring tournaments, including a first-place finish at the Fairfield University Invitational and a second-place finish at the Birmingham-Southern Invitational. Bigley was also a two-time Albany Times Union Siena College male Student-Athlete of the Year recipient throughout his four-year stay in Loudonville. The consummate student-athlete, Bigley graduated with a 3.49 grade point average as an English major. The PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked nationally in the top 75 according to the Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their region's top-15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are automatically eligible for PING All-America honors, to be announced following the NCAA Division I Championships.
