Men's Golf Moves into Third After Day Two of MAAC Championships

The Siena men's golf team moved up two spots to number three after day two of the 2003 JetBlue MAAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships. The Loyola College men's team continues to hold on to the lead through the second round, while the Fairfield University women lead after the first round.

The Greyhounds registered a team score of 288 for day two of the 54-hole tournament, giving them a team total of 596. Iona College moved into second place with a second-round total of 300 (620). Siena College is now in third place (309-631), and Rider University (315-634) is currently fourth. Canisius College (319-636) stands in fifth place, followed by Niagara University (316-638), Manhattan College (309-644), Fairfield University (321-647) and Saint Peter's College (329-656).

Robby Bigley currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place individually with a two day total of 151. Brett Bushinger is also among the top-20 as he shot a combined score of 159 and is in 15th-place.

The Fairfield women own a three-point lead after the first round of the 36-hole championship with a team score of 337. Allie Schick registered a score of 77 to pace the Stags. Siena recorded a team score of 340, with Jillian Blanchard posting a team-high score of 82 for the Saints.

Both championships will conclude on Sunday, April 27, with the men's tee times beginning at 6:51 a.m., and the women's tee times at 9:31 a.m.
