Siena Men's Golf Tied for Fifth After First Day of 2003 JetBlue MAAC Golf Championships

The Siena College Men's Golf team sits in a tie for fifth place with Niagara University after day one of the 2003 JetBlue MAAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships at the Magnolia Golf Course in Walt Disney World.

The Loyola College men's team leads the way with a team score of 308 after the first round of the 54-hole tournament. Canisius College finished in second place with a score of 317. Rider University came in third wiht a score of 319. Iona College (320) was fourth, Niagara University and Siena College tied for fifth (322) while Fairfield University (326), Saint Peter's College (327) and Manhattan College (335) rounded out the field.

Robby Bigley finished in a tie for the top-spot individually with Fairfield's Jeff O'Brien after the first day, shooting a 73.

The women's 36-hole championship between Fairfield University and Siena College will begin tomorrow morning following the men's tee times.
