Justin Deitz, Don DeNyse III and Dan Abbondandolo all finished in the top-8 individually as the Siena men's golf team closed out its fall season with a strong second place showing at the Kelly Gutshall Invitational hosted by Lehigh in Saucon Valley, Pa. The second place showing was the second in four fall invitationals for the Saints, concluding a strong fall season.

The Saints were outdone only by a seasoned Penn State squad which blew away the rest of the field, finishing 32 strokes ahead of the second place Saints and 34 shots better than third place Harvard.

The Nittany Lions placed three golfers in the top-5 overall, led by overall individual champion Kevin Foley, who shot a pair of 70 rounds to finish four under par for the tournament.

The freshman Deitz led the way for the Saints with his most impressive collegiate showing yet, shooting rounds of 79 and 75 to finish tied for sixth overall in a field that featured better than 40 golfers and seven teams. DeNyse and Abbondandolo tied each other finishing eighth with a two round score of 155.

The Saints concluded the fall season with a pair of second place finishes, a fifth place finish and a 12th place finish to cap an impressive fall. Siena returns to action for the start of the spring season, with the schedule of invitationals to be released soon.
