Saints Finish Ninth in Season Debut

Sept. 26, 2004

Siena men's golf team shot a 306 in the final day to finish ninth at the Cornell Fall Invitational. The 16-team tournament, hosted by Cornell, took place at the 72-par, 6,890-yard Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Sophomore Bryan Bigley and Brad Matt was the Saints top finisher tied at the 28th spot.

Rider secured the champion title with a three round score of 879. Josh Krumholz of Rider garnered individual medalist honors at 8-under.

Bigley, who was three strokes behind Myatt, shot a 74 in the final round to tie. Myatt carded a 77 for a two-day total of 227, both finishing in 28th place, while freshman Allen Parker fired a 78 in the final day with a score of 232 to finish in 40th place. Robby Bigley and Brian Dunn rounded out the Saints scoring with a three-round score of 235 and 241, respectively, for 52nd and 67th place.

Siena returns to action on Oct. 2 as the Saints participate in the St. Bonaventure Keenan Invitational hosted by St. Bonaventure.
