Men's Golf Starts Season With Strong Finish at St. Bonaventure Invitational

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Siena men's golf team got off a strong start by posting a fifth-place finish out of 15 teams at the St. Bonaventure Keenan Invitational held over the weekend at the Bartlett Country Club.

Siena finished with a team score of 607, ten shots behind the champions, Colgate, which shot a 597. The Saints did beat two MAAC schools: Canisius and Rider.

Jim Ohlsen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Spa Catholic) and Luke Esposito (Fayetteville, N.Y./CBA) each fired a 149 to lead the Saints. Freshman Robby Bigley (Schenectady, N.Y./Schalmont) shot a 155 in his first college tournament.

Siena continues its schedule at the Binghamton Invitational on October 5th.
