Men's Golf Captures Third at St. Bonaventure Keenan Invitational

Sept. 22, 2003

The Siena men's golf team finished with a score of 596 to take third place at the two-day St. Bonaventure Keenan Invitational held at Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y. The tournament was the first for the Green and Gold this season.

Ben Eldridge (76, 71) led the Saints through two days with a score of 147, finishing in the tournament's top-5. Brothers Robby and Bryan Bigley also finished among the top-20, tying for the eighth spot overall.

The number one spot was determined by a playoff with host school St. Bonaventure eventually claiming the tournament championship. Duquesne University finished in second. Siena's score of 596 (304, 292) was just one stroke shy of the top-2 teams.

The Saints return to action next weekend, September 26-28, when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to take place in the Cornell Invitational.
