Saints Rally, But Remain in 26th After Day Two in NCAA Central Regional
May 18, 2007 Bryan Bigley fired an even par 72 at the NCAA Central Regional in Sugar Grove, Ill. to help Siena to a Day Two total of 306 - 45 strokes better than their opening day performance. The Saints remain in 26th place, but gained ground on the rest of the field with their strong Day Two showing. Bigley moved from 116th place to 80th overall individually. He had four birdies on the front nine Friday, finishing with a 3-under par 33. Bigley shot a 39 on the back nine to finish even par on the day. Teammate Alex Arrigo shot a 75 on Friday and senior Dennis Gosier wasn't far behind with a 79. Dan Abbondandolo shot an 80 to post a two day total of 166 - third among Siena's five golfers. The Tournament finishes up on Saturday with the top-10 teams qualifying for the NCAA finals. Texas A&M currently sits in 10th place, 31 strokes over par. Siena's two day total of 657 is 51 strokes over par. Tulsa leads the Regional by seven strokes with a 585 after shooting 8-under par Friday.
