Men's Golf Takes Second at Hofstra Invitational

The Siena men's golf team captured second place at the Hofstra Men's Invitational at Harbor Links Golf Club in Port Washington, N.Y. played April 5-6. St. John's University captured the tournament championship.

The Saints, who completed day one in first place with a score of 296, were unable to hold on for the championship and finished the two-day six-team tournament in second with a score of 603 (296, 307). St. John's, who sat one stroke behind Siena after the first round with a 297, shot a 300 to claim the top-spot overall with a 597.

Fordham University (613), host Hofstra University (620), La Salle University (652) and Sacred Heart University (669) took the fourth through sixth spots, respectively.

Bryan Bigley led Siena with a 148 (72,76), good enough for the a tie for second individually. Brother Robby Bigley was not far behind, shooting a two-day total of 150 for a tie for fifth place overall.

Brad Myatt (152) also landed among the tournament's top-10, while Ben Eldridge shot a 153 for an 11th-place finish and Brian Dunn landed in the 24th spot with a 165.
