The Siena men's golf team finished 17th overall at the Towson Spring Invitational concluding Sunday afternoon in Graysonville, Md. Senior captain James Gifford led all Siena competitors, finishing tied for 23rd overall.

Kent State won the three round event shooting -11 as a team. They edged out William & Mary and Seton Hall in the 17-team field. Kent's John Hahn won the individual title, shooting -5 through the 54-hole invitational hosted by Towson University.

After shooting a +8 round of 80 through the first round, Gifford rebounded well to shoot an even par 72 and final round 73 to lead the Saints. Fellow captain Dan Abbondandolo finished second on the team at +14.

The Saints return to action next Saturday and Sunday for the Lafayette Invitational in Center Valley, Pa.
