Siena Men's Golfers Finished 10th At The Emerald Coast Collegiate

Pensacola, Fl--The Siena men's golf team shot a final-round 6-over 305 Wednesday to finish in 10th place at the Emerald Coast Collegiate at the Pensacola Country Club. The Saints recorded a three-round score of 46-over 910 for the tournament. Junior Robby Bigley (Rotterdam, NY) led Siena by tying for 26th place with a 7-over 223, including a team best 1-over par during the second round. Sophomore Bryan Bigley finished in a tie for 38th with an 11-over 227, including a solo tournament best 2-over 74 in the final round. Rounding out the Saints four man team were teammates Allen Parker (231), Brad Myatt and Jeremy Melchoir who tied for 58th place (236). Troy University claimed the team title by two strokes over the University of West Florida by shooting 10 under par 854 in the tournament. Junior Steve Sims, who won the individual crown after a two-hole playoff. The Trojans edged West Florida by two shots in the 13-team field. UWF led all teams with a final-round 288, but they fell just short of the Trojans. The Saints have two weeks off before returning to action at the El Diablo Invitational in Citrus Springs, Fl.
