The Siena men's basketball team received another ringing endorsement Wednesday as Sports Illustrated placed the Saints 29th in their preseason men's basketball poll. It is the highest SI has ranked Siena since the Preseason Poll in 1999-2000 listed the Saints 26th.

SI's on-line preview, has the following one sentence justification: "Up-tempo Saints, paced by guard Kenny Hasbrouck, the league tournament MVP, prep for return to NCAAs with tune-ups against Tennessee, Pitt and Kansas."

The Saints have been consistently ranked in the top-40 of national preseason publications and websites, and nearly all have listed the Saints as the heavy favorite to win the MAAC. Siena is receiving votes in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Preseason Polls.
