Siena is tied with Illinois for the 25th spot in The Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook's preseason top-25. The 384-page publication, frequently described as the "Bible" of college basketball, and its preseason rankings and awards predictions are widely reported in the press.

The Saints have received top-25 consideration from myriad of college basketball pundits, including: ESPN's Andy Katz (20th) and Dick Vitale (35th), Gary Parrish of CBS Sports (19th) and Jeff Goddman from FOX Sports (23rd).

The Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook is an annual publication which includes preseason previews of every NCAA Division I men's college basketball team in the United States.
