Tickets for 2008 Old Spice Classic Go On Sale August 15

Aug. 13, 2008

Tickets for the third annual Old Spice Classic will go on sale Friday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. ET. The 2008 Old Spice Classic will be held on Thanksgiving weekend at the Milk House at Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex near Orlando, Fla.

The 2008 Old Spice Classic field includes eight teams: Georgetown, Gonzaga, Maryland, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Siena, Tennessee and Wichita State. Seven of those eight teams qualified for postseason play in 2007-08, including five in the NCAA Tournament and two in the Sweet 16.

The tournament consists of 12 games over three days, Nov. 27-28 and 30. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format.

Fans can purchase tickets to all six sessions (12 games) for $90 each, or single-session tickets (two games) for $15 each. “Booster tickets” are also available for $45, allowing entrance to all three sessions (six games) involving the pre-designated team of your choice.

Tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at (407) 839-3900 or through walk-up at the Disney Wide World of Sports® Complex Box Office. Fans can also purchase tickets and travel packages to the tournament by going to www.AnthonyTravel.com or calling 1-800-736-6377.

The inaugural Old Spice Classic was played in 2006 with Arkansas defeating West Virginia in the championship game at Disney’s Milk House. In 2007, North Carolina State edged Villanova for the Old Spice Classic championship. Additional information, including travel packages, can be found on the Old Spice Classic Web site at www.oldspiceclassic.com.
