Siena Head Coach Fran McCaffery saved the best for last at Monday night's annual Men's Basketball Awards Banquet. To close the program, McCaffery revealed to the crowd of nearly 450 at the Albany Marriott that graduating senior Kenny Hasbrouck's #41 jersey will be retired.

Hasbrouck joins Billy Harrell '52 (#10) as the only Siena players to have their jersey numbers retired.

The announcement highlighted an action packed evening in which McCaffery and the Saints celebrated their most successful season in program history. With FOX23 Sports Anchor Rich Becker serving as master of ceremonies, and McCaffery presiding over the awards ceremony, the crowd enjoyed highlight videos and heard from each of the program's four graduating seniors.

Coaches and administrators, including Siena president Fr. Kevin Mullen, OFM and Albany county executive Michael Breslin were in attendance to pay tribute to the senior class and celebrate the Saints' tremendous season.

Athletic Director John D'Argenio presented strength coach Dan Taylor with the Howard T. Tucker Award for his support and dedication to Siena athletics.

Head coach Fran McCaffery presented all the player awards, beginning with the Newcomer and Hustle Awards. Freshmen Kyle Downey and Owen Wignot shared the Newcomer Award and sophomore Ryan Rossiter received the Hustle Award.

MAAC Sixth Man of the Year Clarence Jackson won the Jim Sullivan Most Improved Player award. Jackson averaged 8.3 points in 14.7 minutes per game and was second on the team with 46 3-pointers.

The Dan Cuhna Defensive Player of the Year Award was presented to junior Edwin Ubiles who was second on the team with 34 blocks and 52 steals.

The Rev. Benjamin Kuhn, OFM Student Athlete Award went to senior Josh Duell. Duell, who won three NCAA Tournament games in his collegiate career at Vermont and Siena and helped each program advance to their conference Championship game in all five of his undergraduate seasons, is graduating in May with 3.2 GPA in history.

The Billy Harrell `52 Rebounder Award was presented to sophomore Alex Franklin for the third consecutive year. Franklin averaged 7.5 rebounds per game. Rounding out the award winners, junior Ronald Moore and senior Kenny Hasbrouck shared the Doc Marcelle Most Valuable Player Award.

Moore ranked 12th nationally with 6.40 assists per game and he owned a 2.9 assist/turnover ratio. He was a Second Team All-MAAC and MAAC Tournament Team selection as well as one of 31 national finalists for the Bob Cousy Award. Moore hit two key 3-pointers in the Saints' double-overtime NCAA Tournament win over Ohio State - first sending the game to a second overtime, and then winning the game in the second extra session.

Hasbrouck graduates as the most accomplished player in program history. He was MAAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman, MAAC Second Team as a sophomore, MAAC First Team and MAAC Tournament MVP as a junior and MAAC Player of the Year and MAAC Tournament MVP as a senior. His 1,917 career points stand third on the school's all-time list.
