Hasbrouck, Ubiles Named to CollegeInsider's Mid Major All-America Team

April 1, 2008

Junior Kenny Hasbrouck and sophomore Edwin Ubiles each earned a spot on CollegeInsider.com's 21-member Mid-Major All-America Team. Siena joined Butler and San Diego as the only institutions with two representatives.

Hasbrouck and Ubiles played major roles in the Saints' MAAC Championship and NCAA First Round upset of Vanderbilt. Both Hasbrouck and Ubiles were named First Team All-MAAC and NABC District 2 Second Team selections in March.

Ubiles averaged 17 points and 4.4 rebounds this season, reaching double figures in all but one of the Saints 34 games. He shot 52% from the field and 42% from distance.

Hasbrouck scored 30 points, keying the Saints' win over Vanderbilt. He averaged 16.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Siena finished the season with a 23-11 and captured the MAAC Regular-Season and tournament championship.

Mid-Major All-America Team

Rather then assembling first, second, third and fourth team squads, the collegeinsider.com Mid-Major All-America team is one team consisting of 21 players and honorable mentions. Division I coaches and NBA scouts are part of the selection process, but final decision rests with the collegeinsider.com staff.
