Siena Drops Decision To Manhattan, 85-70

NEW YORK (AP) - Peter Mulligan scored a career-high 35 points and Manhattan rolled past winless Siena 85-70 Thursday night.

Mulligan hit 11 of 15 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, and made 10 of 13 free throws for the Jaspers (4-2, 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Manhattan held the Siena (0-7, 0-1) to one field goal in the opening 7:37 while building a 24-6 lead.

Siena pulled within 43-31 by halftime, but Manhattan extended its margin to 57-36 with 14:15 to play on three successive 3-pointers - two by Kenny Minor and the other by Mike Konovelchick connected.

The Jaspers hit 8 of 15 from beyond the arc.

Konovelchick finished with 19 points and Minor added 10. Michael Haddix topped Siena with 21 points.
