Jamar Wilson and Jon Iati led five players in double figures with 20 points as UAlbany defeated cold-shooting Siena 86-65 in front of 8,904 fans at Pepsi Arena in downtown Albany. The win was the first for the Great Danes (2-0) over their cross-town rival since the two teams began Division I competition in 2001.

Siena (0-4) tied the game at 55-55 on Antoine Jordan's three from the left wing with 10:04 remaining. The Great Danes finished the game with a decisive 31-10 run.

Wilson, playing in his first game since the 2002-2003 season, was 14-14 from the free throw line.

Albany shot 54% from the floor. Siena made good on just 32% of its field goal opportunities.

Michael Haddix led Siena with 18 points and 10 rebounds. No other Saint reached double figures.

Levi Levine also recorded a double-double for UAlbany scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Jon Iati (19), and Kirsten Zoellner also reached double figures for the visiting Great Danes.

Siena will look to avoid its first 0-5 start in program history when it hosts #4/5 Syracuse Saturday at 1 p.m.
