Siena Falls to Fairfield 80-58

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Deng Gai blocked 13 shots, one shy of the NCAA Division I record, and he added a game-high 18 points to lead Fairfield past Siena, 80-58, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game Saturday.

The 6-foot-9-inch Gai is the nation's leader in blocks with an average of 5.6 a game. On Saturday he fell short of the record held by four players, including ex-Navy star David Robinson.

Tyquawn Goode added 13 points for Fairfield (9-8, 6-2 MAAC) and Terrence Todd had 11 points and five assists.

Brent Sniezyk scored 11 points was the only player to score in double figures for Siena (3-14, 1-5).
