Siena Records 92-81 Victory Over Niagara

Jan. 5, 2007

Final Stats

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) - Edwin Ubiles scored 23 points as Siena defeated Niagara 92-81 on Friday.

Michael Haddix added 21 points and eight rebounds for the Saints (8-5, 4-0 Metro Atlantic Conference). Ubiles, a freshman, had 18 of his points in the second half, including 12 during an 18-4 run that put Siena ahead 61-54 with just over 13 minutes to play.

Siena is the MAAC's lone undefeated team and has handed the Purple Eagles both of their conference losses. The 92 points is a season high for the Saints.

Charron Fisher led Niagara (7-8, 2-2) with a career-high 28 points and added 11 rebounds. Clif Brown added 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Saints coach Fran McCaffery was ejected with 6:00 left in the first half after drawing consecutive technical fouls for arguing a loose-ball foul call on Siena's Cory Magee. Mitch Buonaguro coached the remainder of the game.
