Final Stats

Freshman Chris Klepps, junior college transfer Gabe Perez and catcher Eric Hildenbrand each had three hits to pace Siena's 17-hit attack in a convincing 16-7 win over Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach Thursday. Junior John Lannan pitched five shutout innings to earn his first the victory, allowing just two hits.

The Saints got in the board in the third inning as freshman Pete Paris drove in two runs with an RBI hit. Perez added the Saints third run with a run scoring single moments later.

Siena broke the game open with six runs in the fourth inning in four more in the fifth, taking a 13-0 lead. Freshman Rick Seltzer had a key two run single in the fourth and Perez singled home two runs in the fifth. He and Paris each finished with three RBI.

The Saints return to action for a three game series this weekend at Stetson.
