GENERAL: Walk-on who adds depth to the Saints' outfield...Will battle for playing time as he proves he can adjust to college pitching...Chose Siena because of the academic reputation and coaching staff.
AS A FRESHMAN: Started three of the 17 games he played...Had three hits in 25 at bats...Scored three runs and had one triple...Tripled in his only at bat and scored a run in Siena's 14-3 win at Cornell (4/25).
BEFORE SIENA: Lettered in football and baseball for four seasons at Bristol Central...Selected All-Conference CCC South in baseball as a junior and senior...Led team in batting average (.509), RBI, base hits and runs...Selected to play in 2005 Connecticut All-Star Game...Recipient of Leadership Recognition Award by the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame (2004).
ROSSI ON SGRO: "Drew is another hard worker who will compete for one of the open outfield positions. He was a consistent hitter at the high school level, and I'm confident that with increased opportunities he will produce here as well."
