Loudonville, N.Y. - A total of 15 Siena student-athletes were named to the 2007 MAAC Cross Country All-Academic Team announced recently at league headquarters. The Saints placed nine on the women's side, and six to the men's team.

Lauren Fifield (Sr.-Environmental Science-Therford, Vt.), Ashley Gardineer (So.-Biology-Mahopac, N.Y.), Samantha Grady (So.-Undeclared Arts-Warwick, N.Y.), Tara Heffernan (Jr.-American Studies-Ellington, Conn.), Vanessa Henry (Jr.-Biology-Johnstown, N.Y.), Andrea Hollinger (So.-Biology-Averill Park, N.Y.), Diane Martori (Sr.-Social Work-Bellerose, N.Y.), Allison Ruitenberg (So.-Biology-Haledon, N.J.) and Jennifer Stacey (Sr.-Spanish-Shrewbury, Mass.) were the women's honorees.

On the men's side, Anthony Conte (Jr.-Biology-South Setauket, N.Y.), John Hart (Sr.-History Education-Cornwall, N.Y.), Dan Racioppo (Jr.-Marketing and Management-Yorktown, N.Y.), Brett Tracy (Jr.-Biology-Canterbury, Conn.), Jed Turnbull (So.-Mathematics-Washingtonville, N.Y.) and Tom Twiname (Sr.-History Education-Hicksville, N.Y.) also earned this recognition.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
