Siena College senior Katie Luker and sophomore Darren Legere were each named MAAC cross country Runners of the Week today following the Saints strong performance in the Fairfield invitational this past weekend. Legere raced to a third place finish in a field of 51 runners as the Siena men took the runner-up prize in the meet.

Luker and Legere won the MAAC Runner of the Week Award earlier this season taking the award for the week ended September 12.

Legere (Ghent, NY) completed the 8K course in 26:53.9 as the Saints narrowly missed defending last year's championship, losing out only to Hofstra.

Luker (New Hartford, NY) raced to a ninth place finish in a field of 64 as the Siena women placed third in the Fairfield Invitational. She was the only Siena runner to complete the 5K course in under 20 minutes with a time or 19:51.7.
