 Siena Women's Cross Country 8th, Men 10th at CCSU

Junior Jessica Morelli ran the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet in 11:25.51 to lead the Siena women's cross country to an eighth place finish. Sophomore Ian Donnelly paced the men's team with a time of 15.56.24 in the 5K. The men's team finished 10th. Morelli finished the 3K race in 45th. Lia Gizzarelli (53rd - 11:36.03) came in 11 seconds behind Morelli. Christy Bak (58th - 11:39.69), Chrissy DelSanto (66th - 11:49.44) and Carly Calogero (68th - 11:54.20) rounded out the top five. Jonathan Duncan (64th - 16:38.89), Davin Piispanen (68th - 16:45.20), David Ellsworth (71st - 16:49.11) and Joe Abed-El-Latif (75th - 17:02.31) finished behind Donnelly in the men's top five. Siena returns to action in the MAAC Championships next Friday in Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y.
