Loudonville, N.Y. - Sophomore Jed Turnbull finished 20th overall to lead the Siena men's cross country team to a sixth place finish this afternoon at the Central Connecticut Invite in New Britain, Conn. Brina Seguine, a local product, helped the women's team to earn seventh place as she finished 11th overall in the two mile race.

Turnbull finished 20th on the men's side after clocking in at an impressive 16:22 in the men's 5K. Seguine completed the women's course in 11:52.

Siena senior Darren Legere was a close second to Turnbull as he crossed the finish line in 16:36. Ryan Donnelly (17:02), Frank Massi (17:11) and Matthew Dombroski (17:26) rounded out the top five scorers for the Saints.

Carly Calogero (12:19), Andrea Hollinger (12:25), Diane Martori (12:41) and Samantha Grady (12:43) also scored for the Siena women.

The Saints return to action on Friday as they take part in the MAAC Championships in Riverdale, N.Y. The women's race begins at 1 p.m. and the men start at 1:45 p.m. in Van Cortlandt Park.
