Women Finish 19th, Men 24th in Iona Meet of Champions

The Siena women's cross country team defeated MAAC schools Iona and Rider on their way to a 19th place finish in the 25-team Iona Meet of Champions Saturday afternoon. The men placed 24th of 26 schools.

The results were encouraging considering the women defeated both of the other MAAC schools in the field, including defending MAAC Champion Iona. Both the men and women defeated Rider University.

Twin sisters Kim and Michelle Milton finished 86th and 87th individually, completing the course in 23 minutes and 52 seconds. Bryan Knipfing was the top male finisher for the Saints, placing 146th with a time of 28 minutes and 37 seconds.
