Men and Women Run Third in Syracuse Invitational

Freshman John Hart ran 10th on the men's side, and senior Joan Paul was 10th individually for the Siena women as both teams raced to third place finishes in Syracuse Saturday. Siena lost to only the host Orange and the University of Massachusetts, while easily defeating MAAC members Canisius and Niagara.

Hart crossed the finish line in 27:51.10, while senior Pat Gaffney was close behind in 16th place with a time of 28:38.10. Freshman Justin Daino (20th), senior Andrew Knipfing (21st) and freshman Joe Choiniere (23rd) rounded out the Siena top five.

On the women's side, Paul crossed in 20:44.36. Junior Katie Luker was next best in 19th place with a time of 21:13.65. Ashley Dwyer (22nd), Meghan Davey (26th) and Katie Bubnack (27th) completed the Siena quintet.
