The Siena women's cross country team again had a competitive showing in a competitive regional showdown contested Saturday afternoon at Central Connecticut. The Saints finished in sixth place in the nine-team 2003 CCSU Ted Owens Invitational. The men also ran well, landing in seventh place in the eight-team field.

Kelsey Hanno paced the Siena women for the second straight week, finishing as one of four Siena women to complete the course in under 20 minutes. Kate Luker rounded out Siena's top-five finishers in 20:14.

Pat Gaffney turned in another strong performance for the Siena men, finishing in 15th place among all finishers in 28:10. The nearest Siena finisher was nearly two minutes behind Gaffney's scorching finish.

The Saints return to the Constitution State on Friday to compete in the Quinnipiac Invitational.
