Marcelle Athletic Complex (MAC)

The Marcelle Athletic Complex, or "the MAC," opened in 1992 and continues to be the hot place to be on campus. Siena students work out on exercise equipment, join aerobics classes, swim in the pool, jog on the elevated track, play racquetball, squash, basketball, volleyball or take part in one of the many intramural activities.
The MAC was named after Alphonso "Doc" Marcelle, a member of the Siena College class of 1949, who served on the Siena College Board of Trustees from 1977 until his death in 1986. His commitment and service were recognized by an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree in 1976 and the Alumni Achievement Award for Contributions to the College Community in 1977. The MAAC was dedicated in his honor on February 29, 1992.
Membership

Students become members of the MAC upon payment of tuition and fees. Students are permitted to bring guests into the facility at a cost of $5 per day, per guest.
Employees of Siena College are entitled to membership also. Employees are permitted to register immediate family (spouse and children under the age of 23) as members. Family membership ID cards will be issued upon request at the MAC front desk. Employees are permitted to bring guests into the facility at a cost of $10 per day, per guest.
Alumni may purchase individual or family memberships.
Community memberships are available on an individual basis only. Full-year memberships are $500 per year, half-year memberships are $325 per year. (no summer memberships). Siena Alumni memberships for use of the Marcelle Athletic Complex are available at a cost of $350 per year, half-year memberships are $250.
