Joyce Eggleston Associate Director of Athletics

Joyce Eggleston is in her 27th year of association with Siena College. As Associate Director of Athletics, she is responsible for the administration of student-athlete services such as academic support and educational programming and serves as sport administrator for men's and women's lacrosse, field hockey, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

For the past ten years, she has been the compliance officer for the athletic department and is responsible for monitoring NCAA rules and regulations regarding eligibility, practice and playing seasons, financial aid and recruitment of student-athletes.

Under Eggleston's direction as senior women's administrator, Siena's women's athletic program has grown to 11 Division I sports, including the addition of golf in 1996, lacrosse in 1997, swimming and diving in 1999, and most recently, women's water polo in 2001.

She serves as chair of the MAAC Volleyball Committee and is a member of the MAAC Gender Equity and Diversity and Compliance and Enforcement Committees and the National Association of Collegiate Women's Athletic Administrators. She is also a member of the College's Human Rights Committee, Administrative Systems Advisory Committee, Hall of Fame Committee and the Committee on Athletics.

Eggleston received her bachelor's degree from Cortland State and a master's of science in education from Russell Sage College. While an undergraduate at Cortland, she participated in field hockey and track. Prior to joining Siena, Eggleston spent two years as recreation programmer for the city of Norwalk (Conn.).

Eggleston resides in Ghent with her husband, Rodney and her three children, Ryan, Darren and Amy.
