Ann Grasso begins her first season as head cheerleading coach at Siena College. She brings with her a great history of cheerleading as well as many accomplishments as a cheer coach. Her cheerleading career began when she was in high school, where she earned the title of NCA (National Cheerleading Association) All-American four years in a row. Continuing on through college, Grasso was a member of the St. Rose Cheer Team where she was named College All-American. She also was given the honor of being named Top College Cheerleader in 1997 at the NCA Regional Competition. Grasso has held the position as an NCA instructor and head instructor since 1995. Other accomplishments include her title as top rookie instructor for the Northeast Region in 1996, as well as top veteran instructor from 1997-2000. Grasso also was awarded the NCA Staff Appreciation Award from 1999-2003. Other cheer experiences include NCA/NDA Choreography team member from 1999-2002, where she aided in creating the summer camp curriculum. Grasso is USASF (United States All Star Federation) certified and trained. Along with her many cheering accomplishments, Grasso has a wide variety of coaching experience as well. She began with instructing cheerleading tumbling at Yury's School of Gymnastics from 1996-2001. Ann also coached at the high school level from 1994-2002, and led the Bishop Maginn High School team to first place finishes in many local and regional competitions. In 2000, Grasso's team was named one of NCA's Top 1000 Cheer Programs in the nation. She also obtained experience at the college level, choreographing and holding the position as the assistant coach for the College of St. Rose. Her team qualified for the prestigious NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida in 2001, being the first college in Upstate New York to ever attend Nationals. The team also made the Top-10 for the All-Girl Division in the year 2002, a major victory for the Capital Region. Grasso took this experience and went on to choreograph many regional and national routines all over the Northeast. She is currently the co-owner of Ultimate Cheer, LLC- a Cheerleading and Dance Training Center in Colonie. She is also the coach of the Ultimate Cheer All-Stars Senior Advanced and Open Team, who has won five Regional titles and three National Titles. A graduate of the College of St. Rose with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Masters degree in counseling, Grasso resides in Clifton Park with her fiancé.
