Daniel Taylor Named Strength and Conditioning Coach at Siena College

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena College has named Daniel Taylor head strength and conditioning coach, as announced by athletics director, John D'Argenio Monday. The England native brings years of conditioning collegiate and professional athletes to Loudonville.

"I am extremely happy to have Daniel serve under the role of strength and conditioning coach," D'Argenio said. "Daniel brings an extensive background to the Siena community and I am confident that he will continue to aid our student-athletes in performing to their utmost ability and succeed both on the court and on the playing field."

Prior to his promotion, Taylor served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Siena. Under this title, Taylor's duties included creating and executing strength programs for the women's golf team, assisting in the creation and implementation of Siena College's Strength Camps for high school athletes and working with a variety of athletes from Siena's 18 Division I sports.

Alongside his duties as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Siena, Taylor also served as Assistant Fitness Director for Gold's Gym in Clifton Park. In this capacity, Taylor has worked with myriad of athletes, ranging from youth football players to professional basketball players from the USBL (United States Basketball League).

Prior to his appointment as assistant strength and conditioning coach, Taylor developed and implemented off-season conditioning programs for The College of Saint Rose men's and women's basketball team, including the women's volleyball and baseball teams. While there, Taylor also trained prospective athletes.

Taylor graduated cum laude from Franklin Pierce College in 2002, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2006, Taylor received his Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Performance Enhancement from the California University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Taylor currently resides in Scotia.
